BBQ Sweet Chilli Chicken Drumsticks

SERVES: 6 • TOTAL TIME: 30 MINUTES + 1 HOUR MARINATING

Ingredients:

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 5 tbsp sweet chilli sauce

  • 3 tbsp soy sauce (or gluten–free soy sauce)

  • 12 chicken drumsticks

  • Chilli, sliced

  • Continental parsley leaves

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the honey, sweet chilli sauce and soy sauce. Pour a small amount into a container to use for basting.

  2. Place the chicken drumsticks into the bowl. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.

  3. Lightly oil the barbecue grill, place drumsticks on the grill and cook for 10–12 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Baste frequently with the reserve sauce during the last 5 minutes of cooking.

  4. Place on serving dish and garnish with chilli and parsley leaves.

  5. Serve with a leafy green salad or a crunchy coleslaw.
